No. Our player doesn’t affect the loading time of a web page, so it doesn’t negatively impact any speed tests for page ranking. Since our animations are provided in an iFrame, the loading of the player is deferred, so the page will load before the player (i.e., time to interactive, which is an important metric, is not dependent on the player).

We can customize animations for additional fees, but you are not able to edit animations or provide new voice-over on your own. You can customize the animations by adding text-based comments to specific steps of the animation using our “Doctors Notes” feature.

Animations are customized by adding your practice name to the upper corner of the player and by adding optional text comments using our “Doctors Notes” feature.

If there is an animation included in a library that doesn’t apply to your practice you can simply switch it off. You decide which animations your patients see.

A dedicated Customer Service representative will reach out within one business day to give you access to content, player options, and metric reporting, all accessed from an account portal on understand.com. If you are not technical, we can work directly with your website provider or staff and offer full integration support.

We do not provide direct access to the animation video files (see “How are the animations delivered to us” and “What is an iFrame”). Animations conveniently embed into your website via iFrame, and HTML5 video is used to show video on the web page. This way you don’t have to host and transfer large video files. Instead, we optimize streaming of the video content globally, so it loads quickly wherever your viewer is located.

As of 2020, HTML5 video is the only widely supported video playback technology in modern browsers, since the Adobe Flash plugin has been phased out. This ensures that modern browsers can optimize the video experience for the viewer’s device (phone, tablet, computer, etc.) and bandwidth (i.e. data connection).

Once you complete your purchase, you will receive an email from our Customer Service team with account login instructions. From there, you will have access to account-specific iFrame codes for each animation and/or library that you can embed into your website.

An iFrame is an HTML element that allows a website or webpage to embedded various media types like video. Adding an iFrame to your website is easy and something any web developer will know how to do.

Yes! We currently offer our most popular videos, with new titles added to the library each month. Each video is available in two versions: one fully narrated with captions and another without captions, allowing you to add a personalized message from the doctor or include a specific call to action.

We offer animations in many different languages yet not every animation is offered in every language. The language of your animation player can be changed from the admin portal. Listed below are our libraries and the languages they are offered in.
